                           Saint Richard the King


          The 7th of February is the Feast of Saint Richard the King (c. 720
          A.D.), he is also known as St. Richard of Wessex, St. Richard the
          Pilgrim, St. Richard the Saxon, St. Richard of Swabia, and St.
          Ricarius.

          Saint Richard the King lived in 720 AD and was a Saxon king born
          in Wessex, England. Three of his children are saints, Saint
          Willibald, Saint Winnebald and Saint Walburga. His brother in
          law, Saint Boniface is also a saint. Saint Willibald was ill as a
          child and he was near his deathbed. Saint Richard wrapped him a
          blanket and placed him at the foot of a large crucifix where the
