Catherine of Ricci
The 13th of February is the feast day of Saint Catherine of Ricci
O.S.D. (Italian: Caterina de’ Ricci) (23 April 1522 – 2 February
1590). She is the patron saint of the sick.
The following is from Butler’s Lives of the Saints:
ALEXANDRINA of Ricci was the daughter of
a noble Florentine. At the age of thirteen
she entered the Third Order of St. Dominic
in the monastery of Prato, taking in religion
